Autism Funding

When it comes to figuring out which funding options are available to you and your family it can become overwhelming in trying to navigate. This article focuses on Autism Funding, specifically families who have already been approved for funding.

Services provided by a Register Social Worker are an eligible expense. Registered Social Workers are not required to be on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list.

Families who would like to utilize their Autism Funding towards services by a Registered Social Worker will need to submit a Request to Pay (RTP) form to Autism Funding to have services approved.

The form outlines what information you would need for the service provider requested.

Social Workers who have experience working with children and youth diagnosed with autism can be a great addition to the families support team. Social Workers can assist in system navigation, advocacy as well as seeking out resources and referrals. As a Social Worker trained in Synergetic Play Therapy, play therapy can provide benefits such as understanding behaviour through the lens of the nervous system and the brain, parent support and radical acceptance of where the child/youth is at in the current moment.
